Northwest Wyoming offers some of the most remarkable wildlife viewing in the lower 48 states. The area’s wildlife inspires travelers from all over the world. Please do not to interfere with animals’ natural habits and behavior. All wildlife — especially bears, bison, and moose — can be dangerous.

 


FOLLOW PROPER VIEWING ETIQUETTE

• Never harass or feed any animals, even small ones.

• Do not approach within 100 yards of most wildlife, especially bears.

• Keep pets leashed at all times, or leave them at home.

• Move slowly and stay on trails.

• Never assume an animal’s passive behavior is safe.

• Be cautious on roadways, mind traffic laws, and watch for wildlife on or near the road.

• Respect other recreationists who may be watching or looking for wildlife.
